Painted

Still not completely done, but most of the paint job is finished. Her hair and some details on her eyes and shirt need to be completed but here I am so far.
I received my new Magic Sculpt clay in the mail yesterday! I will be carefully planning out my next project. Perhaps I'll do another bust like this one for practice before I dive into a head to toe figure. At first this model was looking like Lady Gaga to me, without intending to, and now that she's painted all I see is Scarlett Johansson. I didn't intend a charcature of any type but I think it's funny how it just happens sometimes.

Clay Lady

It's been years since I've had the time to sculpt something other than a tiny robot for TRF! I am so excited about this little test run I got to do. Sculpy is really difficult to smooth out so I'm even more excited about the "Magic Sculpt" I recently discovered and ordered. It should be much stronger and better for smoothing and carving for really fine details. I wasn't sure where I was going with this creation when I started her, but she is totally reminding me of Lady Gaga. I can't wait until I get my new clay so I can sculpt a head-to-toe maquette of one of my own characters.

Buddha

Commissioned by a client (but never used) for a coffee packaging concept.

Pigtails Finished

I'm trying to get the hang of this gouache style I'm seeing all of my favorite illustrators doing lately. I love how soft it is, as opposed to sharp clean vector lines. I'm not there yet, but on my way!
